About this wine

Discover the allure of Nangkita Premium Shiraz 2021, a tribute to the Southern Fleurieu’s terroir and the craftsmanship of Nangkita Estate Vineyards. This wine is a pure expression of 100% Shiraz grapes, sourced meticulously from the esteemed Dam Block No. 1 within the Nangkita Single Vineyard, embodying a seamless blend of boldness and refinement.

The winemaking journey begins with a dedication to vineyard excellence, yielding 3.0 tonnes per acre to ensure remarkable flavour concentration. Harvested on April 10th, 2021, the grapes are treated to a traditional winemaking process, with daily over-pumping in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation is controlled within the temperature range of 20°C – 25°C, preserving the grapes’ essence. A complete malolactic fermentation follows under the expert guidance of Nangkita’s expert winemakers.

In the glass, the Nangkita Premium Shiraz presents a clear, bright, and moderate ruby hue, an invitation to the symphony of scents within. The nose is intense and youthful, offering notes of ripe black currant, black cherry, and a refreshing hint of mint. The wine’s finish is enduring, a testament to the concentration of fruit flavors and the moderate complexity it exudes.
